About Me
My name is Anna Zeberlein and I'm from Columbia, SC, currently living in Charleston where I'm a senior at the College. I'm 22 and I have plans to graduate in Spring of 2017 with a degree in English, a concentration in Creative Writing, Fiction track. I will also have a minor in Sociology. I went into college with plans to go into editing and publishing, but I also want to explore my options in the social media arena. I enjoy spending time with my Phi Mu sisters, watching Netflix, and playing with my cat.
Projects
Pounce's Instagram
This is my final project for my Digital Rhetoric course. I wanted to improve a local business's social media and I decided to focus on their Instagram. I was very pleased with the results and I plan on expanding my work on their social media to Facebook, Twitter, and Snapchat.

Zine
This is a twofer, two assignments for different classes, the original, handmade zine coming from a Women and Gender Studies course and the digital version for a Digital Rhetoric course. The assignment was to take an already existing piece and reformat it so it fit into a different genre. I chose to work with a piece I had created so I felt a connection to the work and I could see my own progression. I am proud of my work here, but do take caution; some content is explicit. NSFW.
Condemned
A short story written in Spring 2016 about an abandoned beach house in Edisto Beach, South Carolina. It was inspired by a story I had written in Spring 2014 about two girls exploring a house that had collapsed during a storm.

Falling
A short story written in Spring 2016 about a girl who climbs competitively in Charleston, South Carolina. This story was inspired by stories by uncle would tell me about his childhood.
Edisto
A poem written in Fall 2013 about Edisto Beach, South Carolina. It was inspired by a trip I made there with my church choir.

Sociology of Mental Illness Final Paper
A research paper written in Spring 2016, titled "Challenging the Necessity of the Diagnosis of Gender Dysphoria" which argued that transgender people should not need to be diagnosed with gender dysphoria before receiving hormones. This was my favorite class I took for my Sociology minor and I felt passionately about this topic.
City Paper Articles
A complete collection of short articles I wrote while interning at the Charleston City Paper. Most of them are event descriptions or cuisine articles.

Pounce Cat Cafe - Social Media Management
November 2016 - December 2016
So far I have only been working on Instagram, posting each day and working on caption length and relatability, image aesthetic, and follower interaction. I plan to move on from Instagram to Facebook, Twitter, and Snapchat to increase traffic on all of those platforms in order to bring more traffic to the cat cafe. See my Projects section for analytics of my first week running the account.
Charleston City Paper - Internship
May 2015 - November 2015
Every week I would produce two or three approximately 250 word articles about upcoming events in the area. I would contact event organizers to get information, being sure to get a quote and a high resolution image. I also entered calendar events into the website, checking social media for announcements from local businesses. See my Projects section for samples of my work.
